Novice Gun Dog Test
All work and no play makes any dog dull.
The Gun Dog Test is a simple retrieving competition open to all dogs at the showground.
You will be able to enter your own gundog in the test – why not fetch your gun dog along to show off its skill? Amateurs welcome!
Various Tests during the day. Gun Dog Test start at 9.30 am
There are prizes for the fastest times.
Entry Fee £6 each dog
This is the first year that the Gun Dog Test is being held at Canwell Show and its hoped that it will be well supported.
THE BEST DRESSED SCARECROW COMPETITION
The competition is open to all children up to 16 years of age, with no entry fee payable
The Society will provide a wooden frame and a bale of straw per entry, if required. The exhibit may either be brought to the Showground ready assembled or the exhibitor may model and dress the Scarecrow at the Showground on the 10th August from 10.00 a.m. with judging taking place at approximately 12 Noon
Prizes are on offer for the best dressed scarecrow, with the following prize money paid:
1st : £15 2nd : £10 3rd : £8 4th : £5 5th : £3
